Black Forest!

We took a cable car up the Black Forest and had amazing view. We hiked up the mountain a little and it was gorgeous! We had lunch at a restaurant up at the top and then took the cable car back down. It was such a nice day.

Lake Schluchsee, Germany

Our group traveled to Lake Schluchsee, Germany and spent the whole day by the lake. It was absolutely beautiful as you can see!

Jokes On You!

I was walking around the church in town and a British man was giving a tour to a group of Japanese students. I followed him around for a little bit and he told the story of this statue. Around the entire church there are gargoyles who supposedly protect the church from evil. Yet the workers were not getting paid on time so they decided to make a human statue with a baby holding on to the person in order to get back at the minister who wasn't paying them. So all around the church there are animals crouched down like the above except for this one statue. It is pretty hilarious.

Strasbourg, France

European Parliament

We took a day trip to France and got a tour of the European Parliament. It was pretty amazing and we spent the day in Strasbourg as well. The city is gorgeous and it was definitely my favorite day so far.

Mayor of Freiburg

We got to meet one of the three mayors of Freiburg! He gave us a tour of the city council building! It was pretty cool.

German children melt my heart. End of story.

Ulm Munster!

This church is just a couple of minutes walking distance from where I'm staying. In World War II the entire town was destroyed except for this church. It's the heart of Freiburg and incredibly gorgeous as well.

Packing!

It still doesn't feel real. I have no idea what to expect. I'm feeling nervous, excited, anxious, and a million other emotions all at the same time. AHHHH! :)
